We use Porter Robinson’s 2014 album “Worlds” to map out digital maximalism: hyper-bright, anime-and-video-game-coded euphoria built for sensory overload. Then we ask what gets lost in the sugar rush, how this aesthetic shapes electronic music, and why the visuals (album art and music videos) feel like the sound made visible.
